Robert Cha is a Korean American architect, artist, and author. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from Princeton University, attained with a fellowship award. In addition, Cha holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree with the Best Thesis Award from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). 

Cha's work was exhibited at the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale, curated by Aaron Betsky. His projects have been featured in books and journals, including Spots in Shots by Melanie van der Hoorn, NAi Boekverkopers, 2019; Urban Transformation by Ilka + Andreas Ruby, Ruby Press, 2008.

In addition to conceptual architecture, Cha played pivotal roles in built projects from schematic design to construction, including the Caltech Center for Autonomous Systems Technology (CAST).

A five-year US Navy veteran, his awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for distinction in the Iraq War. Encounters with the sublime has had an intense impact on his craft.
